Lehumo Makgalo is a Social Shifters Fellow and a 2024 Finalist in the Social Shifters Global Innovation Challenge. He has a track record of service and grassroots activism having dedicated himself to community projects focused on education and youth entrepreneurship. He is a University of KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa) postgraduate student who has served as President of Enactus University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) in 2024. In that role, he mentored more than 20 youth-led enterprises through start-up competitions such as the MTN Digital Innovation Challenge, Ford College Community Challenge, Harmony Food, Health and Security Challenge as well as various UKZN incubator challenges. He was awarded the UKZN Spotlight on Greatness (Top 12 Most inspiring students) Award for his commitment to uplifting surrounding communities.
