About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Visitor Operations Manager to join a team of 2 managers to manage the Visitor Services operation at the Roundhouse. With a focus on the planning and delivery of the front of house operation in our 3000 capacity Main Space, you will also manage a team to deliver the day-to-day duty management and smaller events.
The role has broad responsibilities across the whole site including security, health and safety, disability and access support, managing volunteers, and generating income to support our charitable aims. The 3 managers will manage and support Assistant Visitor Operations Managers, the Merchandise Manager, the Volunteer and Staffing Coordinator, the Casual Team, and our Volunteer Ushers.
Requirements
You will have experience of managing or supervising teams of staff and volunteers working in an operational environment, preferably a medium-sized live music venue, or arts centre, as you will be working on a wide variety of activities. We will expect you to have demonstrable experience of crowd management, security, health and safety and licensing. If you also know a lot about venue accessibility, have a knack for operational processes, and can remain calm in a crisis, then you might just be the person for this job.
We welcome applications from people who feel they can bring their own skills, experiences and ideas to the table and empower those around them to do the same. We encourage those currently underrepresented across the cultural sector and all intersections of our diverse society to apply.
The successful candidate must have a current and acceptable DBS check, or be willing to undertake one.
