Chloe x Halle are an R&B duo made up of self-taught musicians (and producers) Chloe and Halle Bailey. With minor acting roles under their belts respectively, they started off their music career on YouTube, by posting covers and renditions. After gaining the attention of Beyonce, they were signed to Beyonce's Parkwood Label and have close ties to the musician (who mentors them). They received two Grammy nominations (Best New Artist and Best Urban Contemporary Album) for their debut album The Kids Are Alright (2018) and three Grammy nominations (Best Progressive R&B Album, Best R&B Song for Do It, and Best Traditional R&B Performance for Wonder What She Thinks of Me) for their second album Ungodly Hour (2020). Chloe and Halle are also actors, both appearing on Grown-Ish with another of our MCs Yara Shahidi, and Halle playing Ariel in the upcoming live-action film The Little Mermaid.
