Parmis, the president of the society, is a post third year intercalating medical student. She is currently intercalating at UCL, studying MSc Medical Anthropology. Her decision to study medicine was quite late and impulsive but doesn’t have a regret in hindsight. With interests in acute medicine, medical education and public health, she brings her passions into the society by practicing the importance of highlighting the achievements of women in the field. She has an active role in currently changing the medical curriculum to make it a more inclusive space where students are more empowered to give feedback and criticise discrimination in all it’s forms. As a massive advocate of women supporting other women, she focuses running the society to feed the needs of others and cultivate a microenvironment of growth so important.
