Rachel, the Treasurer of the society, is a third year medical student who’s keeping an open mind about her interests,  from paediatrics and internal medicine to surgery and research. While society has come a long way in working towards equality, there remain so many challenges that women in healthcare face. Being part of WIH is important to her because it allows them to support women from diverse and intersectional backgrounds as well as highlight the contributions of women within healthcare. Having been on the committee since the society was first reinstated 2 years ago, she is so proud of how far they have come and everything they have developed, especially the mentorship scheme and academic events!
