Ruth Essel is an award-winning entrepreneur, arts leader, and ballet educator dedicated to increasing access and representation in ballet. With a background in psychology, research, and community development, she founded Pointe Black to create culturally safe, high-quality ballet training and performance opportunities for Black communities. Her work has been recognised nationally through media features, awards, and partnerships across the arts and education sectors.
